About Us

Offroadin' started as a school project. The goal was to create a solution for a community of people to make an impact. I got to work brainstorming ideas and knew immediately that I would develop a solution to benefit off-roaders. But the question was how? How was I supposed to help a community of off-roaders? I started by making a Google map of my favorite off-roading spots. I added a few places, gave them a name, and turned it in. I wasn't done there. I wanted to do more. I wanted to create an app. I used my two years of software development skills and many YouTube videos to put together an app using some of the primary languages I knew. It wasn't perfect. I learned more and more coding by just trial and error. I spent almost three months releasing betas and sending updates until I was finally ready. I submitted my app to apple, which was rejected, not once, but five times. Finally, on September 30, 2022, I released Offroadin' to the public and continued my journey. The initial goal of this app was to incorporate all the features that other apps charged people for but make it accessible. I am so happy to say that every single one of the features in my app is free. No subscriptions, no trials, and no ads. I knew this would cost me money, but I didn't care. It was more important that I released an app to benefit the community of off-roaders at the age of 17.
